Week 8 (9)

I hope to see you all tomorrow. I trust you have all been working assiduously to complete your websites by then.
What I intend doing:
  • Demonstration of how to receive podcasts
  • Continuation of work on your "web"site
  • Using the Masher to link Hot Potato exercises to your best advantage
  • Uploading to your ISP ( but you've got to find out the procedures first - call or look up your ISP on the Web).
Incidentally, Picasa has released a new version. When you open Picasa next, you may be asked if you want the updated version - definitely say yes. One improvement is that you can "save" your edits without having to export.

Hi Philip,
Audacity and Hot potato have been useful references for Home tutors. One of the tutors in my current group has started to use hot potatoes at her school. Another is going to use audacity to record things for her lessons so that she can download them on to her ipod and play them to her student. (mind you I can do that with the existing software on my computer without using audacity I think) as her student's family has a computer she might be able to send them little lessons for her student to listen to during the week.
